About
David Carreño Hansen is a photographer based in northern Germany with Spanish-German roots. He primarily works for editorial and corporate magazines, while also pursuing personal projects. His work has been published, awarded, and exhibited internationally.
Together with photographers Sven Stolzenwald and Christian A. Werner, he developed the project "Heiter bis wolkig – eine fotografische Deutschlandreise" ("Fair to Cloudy – A Photographic Journey through Germany"). This project, created between autumn 2016 and summer 2018, explores the everyday life in Germany and was published in the form of a photo book.
The photographs from this project have been presented in various exhibitions, including at the Haus der Geschichte in Bonn under the title "Aus Deutschlands Provinzen" ("From Germany's Provinces").
For his exposé "Technological Advancements in Everyday Technologies", David Carreño Hansen was awarded the acatech Photography Fellowship at the PUNKT Journalism Prize in 2017.
